Singapore

I just attended a Media Launch party for Jurong Lake Run 2012 scheduled to be held on 8th July 2012. The event seemed well planned by the volunteers, with the Deputy Minister as the Guest of Honor. Other than the usual happenings of any launch event, what stood out most was the insistence that the Run aimed to promote an all inclusive community in Singapore.

Runners were asked why they were participating...Some answers were :- for hope, for pride, for faith, for family, for self-discipline, for faith...etc. It was amazing that people from all tiers of society, and all age groups were coming forth to promote this community feeling.

Given Singapore's tag as an international society, how important is it for this country to truly evolve into its role as an all inclusive society? What does this mean for the country's political policies and the recent campaigning regarding influx of foreign talent?

... Have you wordered?

  1. It would be important to nurture the internal talents of being exclusive as well as learn from the diversity of the foreign talent to stay competitive by being inclusive
